Across Alaska, social workers are navigating workforce shortages, rural
and frontier service challenges, behavioral health needs, and policy
decisions that directly impact our profession and the communities we
serve. Now more than ever, we need leaders who
are grounded in our Code of Ethics, committed to advocacy, and ready to
help shape the future of social work across the state.
Serving on the NASW-Alaska Board is more than a volunteer role — it is
an opportunity to lead in a time when social work voices must be strong,
visible, and united.
Our Chapter represents social workers practicing across one of the most
geographically vast and culturally diverse states in the country. From
urban centers to rural and tribal communities, Alaska’s social workers
bring invaluable perspectives and experiences
