Campaign School is designed for social workers at all stages, whether you are a first-time candidate, curious about political campaigning, or simply exploring what it looks like to step into an elected role.

This year’s program brings together experienced social workers, elected officials, and campaign practitioners to walk through the full arc of political leadership, including:

  • Translating your values and lived experience into a compelling public message
  • Navigating tough conversations, media, and voter engagement
  • Ethical and effective fundraising
  • Building and mobilizing a campaign team and volunteer base
  • Hearing about what it’s really like as a social worker in office after the campaign is over

We’re also thrilled that NASW chapters from across the country are partnering on this event, so you’ll be joining a national cohort of social workers committed to strengthening our profession’s voice in public office.

Whether you see yourself on the ballot someday or simply want to better understand how social workers shape policy from the inside, we hope you’ll join us.
