The Alaska Native Heritage Center is the premier cultural center representing all Alaska Native cultures, peoples, and ways of life. Our NASW private tour will be led by one of the Culture Bearers and explore an introduction to Alaska Native cultures, where we will stroll through the quarter mile long trail around Lake Tiulana visiting six authentic life-sized dwellings that represent the five major Alaska Native cultural groups. 

Note: this is an outside walking tour – remember to dress accordingly.

After our private tour, we invite you to enjoy the Alaska Native Dancing and Alaska Native Games Demonstration on the main stage located in the Gathering Place; explore our Hall of Cultures, which showcases a variety of artifacts from the cultural groups of Alaska and four new exhibits; Visit with Alaska Native artist vendors who sell their handcrafted, authentic, artwork. Check out our Ch’k’iqadi Gallery and Café Di’eschin before you leave. The theatre plays Alaska Native films throughout the day.
