NASW-Alaska is excited to announce the results of the 2026 Chapter Board of Directors election. We are grateful to all members who participated in this year's election and helped shape the future of our chapter through their votes and engagement.

We would also like to recognize and thank every candidate who was willing to serve. Leadership within our profession is more important than ever, and we are fortunate to have so many dedicated social workers and students who are willing to contribute their time, expertise, and passion to advancing social work across Alaska.

As we welcome new leaders to the Board of Directors, we also want to extend our sincere appreciation to three dedicated board members whose terms conclude on June 30, 2026.

Thank you to Heather Schimanski-Lee (Secretary), Jennifer Kiser-Brower (Northern Regional Representative), and Jocelyn Leigh Smith (Interior Regional Representative) for their service, leadership, and commitment to NASW-Alaska and the social work profession. Their contributions have helped strengthen our chapter and support social workers across the state.
